Madison Sehestedt

Owner + Yoga Instructor

My teaching style puts a strong emphasis on anatomy, alignment, breath and improving functional movement patterns! With my education and background in health care and psychology, I particularly enjoy working with clients recovering from addiction, injuries and surgeries to regain strength, improve alignment for overall function and find some mental clarity along the way.

I started practicing yoga to recover after a weight lifting injury and have never looked back! Yoga has taken me on an unexpected journey of healing and wellness that has taught me discipline and strength. I have come to appreciate the quiet gentle strengthening benefits of physical yoga, as well as the mental benefits of meditation and learning to connect with breath.

Yoga and meditation have been such amazing gifts to come into my life and I look forward to sharing them with every person who walks through our doors!

When I’m not teaching Yoga, I can be found cooking, buried in a pile of books, traveling with my family and exploring nature with my dogs, Kiwi and Mango!


Jenny Kim


Jenny (RYT-200) strives to create a safe, welcoming, and warm environment for all practitioners. Wherever you are in your life and yoga practice, she is happy to hold space for you during class. She first started practicing yoga as a means of exercise in college, but shortly after she started regularly practicing, she began to observe the positive effects of mindfulness in her own life. Wanting to share that post-savasana bliss with others, she decided to become a yoga teacher. Jenny completed her 200-hour registered yoga teacher training in Hatha Vinyasa yoga on the beautiful island of Maui under her teachers Nadia Toraman, Arianne De Vos Burchart, and Jennifer Bonadio, in the Krishnamacharya lineage. Jenny enjoys leading powerful flows as well as indulgent and restorative sessions. She hopes that you will leave her classes feeling strong and recharged.


Haridev Kaur (Renee Leduc)


A yogi, entrepreneur, and policy worker, Haridev Kaur (Renee Leduc) brings her background as a policy consultant in the hyper-stressed DC area to her yoga teaching and healing practices. She loves to share the insights she has gained through her practice. She continues to use yogic technology to consciously de-stress and heal from the trauma of this increasingly frenetic world. She loves to tell stories, share mantra, and dance in her classes as she helps her students to find their optimal balance. Haridev teaches at multiple international Kundalini yoga festivals each year, including 3HO Summer Solstice in New Mexico and Sat Nam Fest Berkshires in Massachusetts. She is a Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) certified yoga teacher and will complete her 500-hour Level 2 certification in early 2020. Cassidy Ricalde

Cassidy Ricalde


Cassidy has always found healing powers through movement of the body. Growing up as a classical dancer, she found yoga to be a way of tying together body and soul. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification at Flow Yoga in D.C., as well as an apprenticeship with Ease Yoga in Alexandria. She sees yoga as a way to keep the body healthy and heal the soul.

I am a traveler at heart. Throughout my journeys, yoga and Ayurveda have been my steady guides. They have given me skills for deep listening, especially in the most uncomfortable moments.

In my classes, I love to share with my students by creating a space with enough structure so they can meet themselves exactly how and where they are. This will provide a basis for each student to experience these ancient practices in their own personal way. In times when we are so often told how to feel or what to think, tuning into our own body, mind, and breath will reconnect us to our own wisdom and build a stepping stone into a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Ryan Smith


Ryan has been a student and practitioner of the healing arts for more than half his life. Starting in therapeutic massage, he continued into qigong healing and its clinical applications before arriving at yoga, exploring a wide variety of it styles and modern expressions. He spent over a decade studying, moving, and breathing with many of today’s great global yogis, such as Shiva Rea, Jo Tastula, Matt Pesendian, and Guru Muhk while living in Los Angeles, California. Ryan is presently engaged in SMARTflow advanced yoga teacher training with Annie Carpenter in Oakland, California. SMARTflow practice is rooted in classical yoga and informed by modern science.

Ryan delivers a well-rounded, heart-centered practice. He aims to empower and inspire others to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing and to practice yoga with love, patience, and intelligence. His classes bring together mindful movement and enlightened attention to alignment. He views yoga as a tool for self-inquiry and care, believing that the process provides invaluable tools for making each day of life more peaceful and enjoyable. Nadiya Mahmood


Nadiya Mahmood has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Nadiya received her 200 Hour CYT in Costa Rica in 2016 at the Marianne Wells Yoga School. She teaches different styles including Vinyasa, Hatha, Power, and movement classes. Nadiya enjoys practicing power yoga, rocket yoga, and ashtanga on her own time. She prides herself on keeping her classes authentic to her true self. She also makes sure that her class are available to students of all skill levels from beginner to advanced students and makes sure all feel welcomed and loved equally.

Sam Chan


Sam (RYT-200) first started practicing yoga to complement his other workouts, but he discovered that yoga is much more than a physical activity: there’s a true mind-body connection. In addition to improved strength and balance, he has found that yoga enables him to be more connected to his body, to live more in the present moment, and to gain more confidence and security in all areas of his life. As a result, he wishes to pass on and share the benefits of yoga with members of his community. Sam completed his 200-hour Power Yoga teacher training from CorePower Yoga. In his classes, you can expect a high-intensity total body workout, linking fitness with the magic of yoga. Expect to sweat, stretch, and push past physical boundaries, all synced to a motivating playlist, while you up your heart rate and connect with your breath

Cathy Trenary

Instructor & Reiki Practitioner

Cathy is a friend, counselor, and healer. Having both of her parents certified in Reiki, Cathy was exposed to this healing art from a very young age. Lover of all things pertaining to the mind, body, and spirit, she decided to follow her intuition and become certified in Reiki to help facilitate healing for others. She holds an M.ED in Counseling and Development and has experience working as a Mental Health Counselor and as a Stress-Management Professor at George Washington University. She she stays grounded through her daily meditation and yoga practice. Her sense of curiosity leads her to continue learning and growing.

Kim Slader

Kim Slader


Kim has been practicing yoga for 7 years. With a passion for yoga and an eagerness to learn, she completed her 200hr in June of 2018 and her 500hr advanced training in November of 2019 both with Yax Yoga Concepts of Virginia Beach, VA. She teaches two styles of yoga: Vinyasa and Niyata. Kim loves to create fun and challenging flows while keeping the environment safe and comfortable for every student.

Maria Garcia-Borreguero


Maria, originally from Spain, brings to her classes all the warmth, the vitality and the enthusiasm of her heritage, providing a radiant positive and nurturing atmosphere. Maria focuses on developing strong sequences with proper alignment. She challenges each student in an individual way while maintaining equal attention to the power of breathing, stress reducing routines and mind calming exercises.

Maria has dedicated the last 19 years to a regular yoga practice. She completed her 200 TT under the instruction of Neva Ingalls of Inner Domain in 2012 and has been teaching since.
Maria will take you to a special place where your body and mind will be able to meet a perfect balance. That place where energy and relaxation are in perfect harmony.
